About Possum Bourne Motorsport
Where it started
Possum Bourne Motorsport was founded in the late 1980s by the late rally legend and Kiwi icon, Possum Bourne. Check out Possum Bourne to find out more about the man that led this business.
Shifting from a bunch of mates working on rally cars together after hours, it transformed with the professional backing of Subaru, STI and other major sponsor into a dedicated motorsport workshop. At its peak, there were 27 staff working around the clock as a top-tier rally team across New Zealand, Australia, the greater Asia Pacific region and select regions around the world. During the heyday of Subaru's motorsport program in rallying, Possum Bourne Motorsport's achievements were unparalleled. Pukekohe has been the home of PBMS since it's inception. We're still located in the same facility we have been for over 25 years. Check out History to find out more.
In recent years we have broadened our sights to more than just rally cars, offering our experience and expertise obtained through years of development to all forms of motorsport, performance and road cars. We have assembled an international team that covers all bases and areas of expertise, so you know you'll have the right person working on your job.

Pat and Indy have a strong vision for the future, that is already becoming a reality. Becoming a premier performance workshop in NZ has driven to become parts suppliers, motorsport engine builders, product developers, a community for enthusiasts and co-ordinator of events.
Possum Bourne Motorsport aims to service a huge portion of the performance marketing from JDM (Japanese) vehicles to European, from Subaru to Porsche, from road cars to race machines.
