The XtremeX is one of Link’s premium ECUs with more inputs, outputs and features.

The XtremeX has built in E-throttle and all the advanced features including Anti-lag, Cruise Control and Traction Control.

With 8 Peak and Hold Injector drives and 8 ignition drives the XtremeX can control up to 4 rotors or 8 cylinders with sequential injection and direct spark. The XtremeX is a great choice for professional level motorsport or more demanding road car applications.

So what are the main changes compared to the G4+ range? 

Developed by Link’s in-house Laboratory of Speed, the new G4X ECU product range boasts numerous upgrades over its predecessor, already a world leader in its class. Headed by a generous increase in Power and Logging capabilities, the improvements within G4X will satisfy even the most demanding users.

The power has come courtesy of a new, more powerful microcontroller and a vastly upgraded communications chip, which allows for download speeds of up to 16 times faster than the G4+ platform. With G4X, your engine will run smoother, accelerate faster and act more responsively. Another of the most considerable advancements of the new G4X ECU comes via the heavily expanded Internal Data Logging which is over 100 times the size of prior versions. All this means the new G4X ECU can log more data, more accurately and be downloaded faster, so you can get back to the exhilaration of unleashing your engine. 

G4X has 512 megabytes of logging at 32bit using up to 250 channels, each limited to up to 1kHz per channel (by the Operating System), with a maximum of 100kHz.

The inputs and outputs have also been enhanced with the frequency range expanded and unified across all the pins, meaning the new ECUs can send and receive even more complex data at a much faster rate. 

Link’s uncompromising engineering team didn’t stop there, however! Additional advancements come via the smart use of Single Precision Floating Point Formats, Maths Blocks, Asynchronous Injection and reduced Jitter, allowing for greater accuracy in everything the ECU controls including smoother fueling and faster spark timing.

The Link G4X XtremeX is optimised for the Speed Density Principle which requires installation of an Intake Air temperature sensor (IAT) and use of the inbuilt Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP). The factory air flow meter is no longer required and this potentially restrictive component can be removed. 

Link A and Link B Looms (or the Link A Connector Kit, Link B Connector Kit) are required for installation and can be supplied separately. Also required is a quality Intake air temperature sensor and for turbo charged applications we recommend the use of a Boost Control Solenoid for best boost control. 

The Link G4X XtremeX comes with an engine unspecific pre loaded Base Map. Initial Set Up to suit your engine and installed components is however required after succesful installation. This can be done via PCLink which is a FREE software application. We highly recommend set up and tuning to be completed by an experienced tuner to ensure best results.

The Link G4X XtremeX is fully Flex Fuel capable to allow use of multiple fuel types for example Ethanol (E85) or Race Gas as well as regular 98 Octane fuel. An additional Flex Fuel Sensor is required to make use of this function. A custom Flex Fuel Tune using various percentage fuel mixtures (of your choosen fuels) is also necessary to achieve best performance and reliability. A wide range of popular add ons and accessories are also available in our store.
